As tech companies such as Meta, Microsoft and Google are trying to improve their AI features considering it to be the future, Amazon will also join with them to take AI to the next level.

Media reports said that Amazon have opened up listings for developers in generative AI. The new and improved take on change of the search engine is expected to make it a more interactive conversational experience.

Even though the company has a voice-based virtual assistant ‘Alexa’ which is under concern for privacy related issues, this AI search is aimed to be more precise and in support of needs per individual customers. The AI is said to be interactive so it could learn the customer and provide best results on the basis of the customer’s purchase history, area proximity and other criteria.

Stefano Perego, Amazon’s VP of customer fulfilment and global operations in North America and Europe specified in a report that the company is exploring ways to revolutionize the logistics of their products. He highlighted how AI will ensure a credible route for delivery partners to travel while considering factors like weather.

Perego explained how the use of AI will benefit their inventory, as the AI will help in understanding demands of people in a certain region and the nearest inventory will have the resources to store it. Also the AI tech will help the users to opt for same-day or next-day deliveries if the products are stored near them.
