According to media sources, the gaming app Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) is ready to make a comeback in India, with the Indian government perhaps allowing players to install the game for a limited time. The government pulled BGMI from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store last year, citing security concerns.
Krafton India officially announced the return of the game in India. Krafton India CEO, Sean Hyunil Sohn said “We are highly grateful to the Indian authorities for allowing us to resume operations of BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA (BGMI).”
The present ban period will allow the Indian government three months to monitor and evaluate the game. The game will be banned again if there is any kind of infringement.
The game will also undergo several updates and adjustments as part of the return. According to speculation, the game will now have a time restriction, and the horrific images will have a different shade of blood.
According to sources, following the ban on BGMI, certain gaming businesses wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding equitable treatment in order to assist develop a healthy gaming ecosystem in the country.
BGMI is the Indian-specific version of the app PUBG Mobile. The original app was one of the first to be blocked by India, in compliance with the country’s ban on accessing Chinese apps.
