Samsung is gearing up for its upcoming ‘Galaxy Unpacked’ event in July, where the company is expected to introduce its next-generation foldable devices. Although Samsung has not officially revealed any details, various leaks and rumours suggest that the event will showcase the Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and more. Reports indicate that Samsung will unveil a total of six new devices at the Galaxy Unpacked event in Seoul.
In terms of design, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 appears to bear a resemblance to its predecessor. It features a triple rear camera setup that closely resembles the previous model, and it will also support the S Pen. The device depicted in the leaked images showcases a light blue colour, but additional colour options are expected to be available upon launch.
Rumours suggest that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will sport a 7.6-inch foldable display with a 6.2-inch cover screen. The main display is expected to be a QXGA+ AMOLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The device may come equipped with a triple camera setup on the rear, including a 50 MP primary sensor, a 12 MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 12 MP telephoto lens. Additionally, it could feature a 4MP under-display camera and a 10MP front camera on the outer screen. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is rumoured to house a 4,400mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. It may also offer up to 12GB of RAM and come in storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.
Moving on to the Galaxy Z Flip 5, a leaked promotional image suggests that the smart phone will continue the trend of having two cameras on the back and an additional camera on the main display. The cover display is expected to offer a larger viewing area of 3.4 inches, compared to the 1.9-inch display on the Galaxy Flip 4. The 3.4-inch screen may feature a resolution of 720 x 748 pixels and a standard 60 Hz refresh rate. Similar to the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra, the front display could support running apps such as Maps, Messages, and YouTube.
Other anticipated features of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, up to 256GB of storage, a 6.7-inch main screen with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 3,700mAh battery with 25W charging support.
In addition to these devices, leaked images also showcased other Samsung products, including the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, Galaxy Watch 6, and the Galaxy Buds 3, which are expected to be unveiled at the event as well.
