Thiruvananthapuram: Redmi has officially announced the launch date of its Redmi A3 smartphone in Bharat, scheduled for February 14. Alongside unveiling the release date, the company has disclosed several key specifications of the device through a dedicated landing page.
The budget-friendly smartphone will showcase a circular rear camera design housing a dual rear camera setup. Redmi has confirmed that the Redmi A3 will boast a 90Hz refresh rate display and offer up to 6GB of RAM, with support for an additional 6GB of virtual RAM. Powering the device will be a robust 5,000mAh battery, facilitated by a USB Type-C port.
According to reports, the Redmi A3 is anticipated to feature a 6.71-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, coupled with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Under the hood, it is speculated to be powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio G36 chipset and a PowerVR GE8320 GPU for enhanced graphics performance.
The smartphone is expected to be available in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants, with 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage expandable up to 1TB via the microSD card slot. Additionally, the Redmi A3 might come with a dual-SIM setup and run on Android 13 Go Edition.
In terms of camera capabilities, the Redmi A3 is rumored to sport a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing selfie shooter.
With an expected price tag below Rs. 10,000, the Redmi A3 is poised to compete with recent budget smartphone launches from Realme, Motorola, Oppo, and other brands.
