Thiruvananthapuram: With the launch of the iPhone 16 series still months’ away, speculation and rumours abound regarding Apple’s upcoming flagship smartphones and the accompanying iOS 18 operating system. According to reports, the iPhone 16 Pro Max is expected to boast a larger battery, potentially delivering the longest battery life ever seen on an iPhone.
Sources suggest a 5% increase in battery size compared to its predecessor, with efficiency enhancements contributing to improved battery performance.
Further rumors suggest that the iPhone 16 Pro Max could be powered by the Apple A18 bionic chipset and feature up to 8GB of RAM. Additionally, advancements in the manufacturing process for the titanium frame of Pro devices may lead to cost reductions.
Earlier reports hinted at larger displays for the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max, potentially reaching unprecedented sizes of 6.27 and 6.86 inches, respectively, setting new standards for iPhone screen real estate.
iPhone 16 Pro Max may sport a 1/1.14-inch Sony IMX903 primary sensor, promising significant improvements in image detail and clarity, especially in challenging lighting conditions. The use of 1MG+7P moulded glass-plastic modules in the camera could further enhance optical performance.
A notable design shift may include the adoption of a vertical camera layout in the base iPhone 16 series models, deviating from the diagonal arrangement seen in the iPhone 15. This change could pave the way for innovative features such as spatial video recording.
