Thiruvananthapuram: Addressing supporters at an election campaign event in Thiruvananthapuram, NDA candidate Rajeev Chandrasekhar took aim at the Congress party’s track record, asserting that it has only delivered promises over the span of 65 years. In contrast, Rajeev Chandrasekhar emphasized the BJP government’s significant strides in improving the lives of citizens within just a decade. He underscored the importance of leaders dedicated to the people’s development for the progress of the nation.

Rajeev Chandrasekhar stated that he initially arrived in Thiruvananthapuram for the election with the goal of securing victory. However, upon visiting various locations within the constituency, his focus shifted towards serving the local populace rather than solely concentrating on the electoral process. Rajeev Chandrasekhar emphasized that throughout the campaign period his discussions centered around the developmental needs of Thiruvananthapuram constituency. He noted that while candidates from other parties delved into topics such as Hamas and matters like who first uttered ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai.’

He stated, “Now is the time to prioritize bringing development to the people. It’s crucial to reflect on what actions we’ve taken when presented with opportunities. Over the span of a decade, the BJP government has significantly improved the lives of our citizens. I firmly believe that the Central government possesses the capability to address all aspects of development for the people’s welfare, which is what our society truly needs. Unfortunately, a major party has consistently made lofty promises over the past 65 years without fulfilling them. On the other hand, the communist party remains inactive, refraining from action or dialogue, thereby hindering progress. In contrast, the BJP is committed to implementing the plans it articulates.”
