Thiruvananthapuram: Reports say that four Malayalees are among the 25 workers who were in the Israeli-linked cargo ship that was seized by Iran in the Strait of Hormuz. Out of the 25 workers in the ship, seventeen are Indians.
According to the report, the Keralites are Ann Tess Joseph, Syamnath, Sumesh and PV Dhanesh.
The Israel-linked cargo ship, MSC Aries, was captured by special forces of Iran through a heliborne operation Iran said that the ship was captured after it violated the maritime boundary.
The ship belongs to Israel billionaire Eyal Ofer’s Zodiac Group. Indian authorities said that Iranian officials are contacted to ensure the early release and security of the Indians abroad the ship, said a report.
