Kalpetta: BJP State President and Wayanadu Lok Sabha candidate, K Surendran, said that there is a conspiracy behind the police move to block Lord Ram’s image that was brought for ‘Kudamatam’ ritual (changing of umbrella) during Thrissur Pooram.
Surendra demanded that investigation must be conducted in to the issue and questioned who controlled it from Thiruvananthapuram. He added that investigation must be done after removing police commissioner, Ankit Ashokan.
The BJP leader said that a well planned conspiracy was hatched at the highest level, otherwise a police commissioner cannot is not able to do something like this. The truth is that the government had conspired to ruin the Thrissur Pooram. Blocking the image of Lord Ram from a temple is a serious issue.
Surendran remarked that it is very important to conduct an investigation after removing the commissioner. The Chief Minister had announced investigation earlier but if he is genuine to his word then he must suspend the commission. It must be thoroughly investigated if there was any political conspiracy behind this.
K Surendran asked whose orders did the commissioner follow and were there any instructions from the police headquarters in Thiruvananthapuram. All these must be investigated, demanded Surendran.
He also said that Lord Ram is one of the most important Gods in Hinduism. What right do they have to block the image of the lord? He repeated that there is a conspiracy behind blocking the image of Lord Ram in a temple. The left is trying to destroy every cultural symbol.
