PAK tries to internationalise internal matter of India; plays victim card with international media

New Delhi: After India announced its decision to reorganise the constitutional status of Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan has gone restless and is endlessly trying to internationalise the matter of Jammu and Kashmir. India’s action has shook Islamabad who immediately sent its foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi to China and seek its help at the United Nations Security Council and tyrannize in the region.

Pakistan has launched an all-out campaign from all its embassies against New Delhi and knocked every door of help. Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan abandoned all domestic policy reforms that he had promised at the time of elections to improve the dire condition of the country’s economy but began malevolent attacks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP.

However, Islamabad’s frustrated calls have failed to mark its way to the International community. In an effort to bring in to the notice of United Nations Security Council, Pakistan wrote twice to the body, urging it to begin emergency meeting on the issue but in vain.

At the end of the meeting on Friday, China and Pakistan stood isolated as other members refused to endorse their position.

Moreover, international media has not taken Pakistan’s media outreach seriously. The international media is sceptical of Pakistan’s charges of human rights violations by India in Jammu and Kashmir even after Pakistan’s attempt to update with photographs and dodgy testimonies.

Human Rights violations in Baluchistan and sponsorship of terrorism in Afghanistan and India is known to the world. Recently Imran Khan himself admitted in the US to a journalist that his country has 30,000-40,000 terrorists.

Pakistan has a long-held policy to create unrest and tensions in neighbouring countries especially in India and Afghanistan by supporting jihadist groups. China, who has a transactional relationship with Pakistan is the only country who has come forward to support Pakistan.

Russia became the first UNSC member to support India. It said India’s action to remove Article 370 is its internal matter and was under constitutional framework. To its bad fate, Islamabad could not also convince even the Muslim world to back in raising the issue of Kashmir. Maldives and UAE said Kashmir is an internal matter of India.

American diplomat Richard N. Mass opined that even after facing defeat in multiple forums, Pakistan will continue to sponsor terrorism.

Pakistan has alleged that India’s decision of revoking the provisions under Article 370 will not only threaten the regional peace but also the world peace. However, international media is not buying into Islamabad’s propagandist claims.
