Jammu & Kashmir: The Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Satya Pal Malik, announced 50,000 jobs in state administration as a boost to better the lives of Kashmiri youths. He promised to fill the positions in a next few months. The Governor also announced that mobile phone connectivity restrictions will be withdrawn today in parts of Kashmir.
The Governor said, “We today announce 50,000 jobs in J&K administration, we will appeal to the youth to get involved with full vigour, in coming 2-3 months we will fill these positions.”
On the mobile phone connectivity and internet, the governor said that phone connectivity in Kupwara and Handwara districts will be open. He also said that the medium of phone and internet is used less by us and mostly by terrorists and Pakistanis as well as for mobilization and indoctrination.
He said, “It is a kind of weapon used against us so we have stopped it. Services will be resumed gradually.”
The Governor also reminded that every Kashmiri life is valuable and the country do not want a loss of even a single life. He also said that no civilian has been lost since the government decided to abrogate Article 370 and stressed that those who got violent got injured and that too below the waist.
India is moving ahead to bring development to the state since integrating Jammu and Kashmir fully with the country. The promise of jobs and opportunities are the best measures to ensure that t he youths eschew violence and become part of the mainstream developments initiated by the government of India.
India is following a policy of carrot and stick to bring lasting change and peace in the region. Though, Pakistan is trying to foment trouble and sectarian violence, Indian security forces have been alert and thwarted their repeated attempts.
