Kolkata: The Governor of West Bengal, Jagdeep Dhankhar, slammed the state government for the horrific murders of RSS worker Bhandu Gopal Pal, his wife Beauty Pal and their six year old son. Beauty was 8 months pregnant when the gruesome killing happened. The Governor was appalled by the situation prevailing in West Bengal.
Jagdeep Dhankhar said, “This is a gruesome incident that has put humanity to shame. A teacher, a young child and a pregnant woman were killed in a barbaric manner but there has been no response from the state machinery. This is a serious reflection on the situation in which we are living.”
He added, “This is a gruesome incident that has put humanity to shame. A teacher, a young child and a pregnant woman were killed in a barbaric manner but there has been no response from the state machinery. This is a serious reflection on the situation in which we are living,”
The Governor was clearly disturbed by the horrific murders and asked how someone can be so barbaric and bold to murder an entire family.
Meanwhile, the National Commission for Women (NCW) chairperson Rekha Sharma has also come down heavily against the West Bengal government for the apathy of the state machinery and demanded that the murderers be arrested as soon as possible.
Rekha Sharma tweeted, “Horrible, horrible crime and worst is nothing is been done by authorities to stop such incidents. I am writing to CM and DGP though it’s like water on duck’s back whereas West Bengal is concerned.”
BJP leaders also have targeted Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for the weak law and order situation in the state.
