Gujarat Panchayat Bypolls: BJP wins 29 seats out of 33

Ahmedabad: The ruling BJP won 29 seats out of 33 seats of Taluka Panchayat and District Panchayats after by-poll was held on December 29.

The Congress party settled for 3 seats and others won one seat.

Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani thanked the people for the party’s good show, having got 29 of 33 seats, and said “the victory is a precursor to upcoming district and taluka panchayat polls”.
