New Delhi: Union Minister, Prakash Javadekar, has condemned the violence at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and said that the Congress, communists and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and other elements want to create an environment of violence across universities in the country.

The Minister revealed that it is a deliberate attempt to create unrest in universities and also spoke of conspiracy behind the violence.

Javadekar said, “We condemn the violence in JNU. Congress, communists, AAP and some elements want to create an environment of violence in universities across the country…This needs to be investigated.”

Last night a mob attacked the JNU and beat up students and teachers. The incident follows after left organizations were preventing students from writing the semester exams. The left wingers also attacked the students who tried to register for online and also the ABVP members who stood with the students’ right to appear for the exam.

Around 30 students are reported to be injured including the Students Union President, Aishe Ghosh and is being treated at AIIMS Trauma Center.
