Tehran: The situation in the Middle East is getting heated after US killed the top commander of Iran in an airstrike. The paramilitary chief of Iraq, an ally of the US, has also said that it will respond to the US airstrike which also killed the deputy of the paramilitary force.
Iran launched an attack on US forces in Iraq using its short-range missiles. The Pentagon meanwhile has said that it is still working on the initial battle damage assessments. The attack was on Iraqi military bases which housed US coalition troops.
The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has warned of resounding blow to Iran if the country attempts to attack Israel.
Earlier, an Ukrainian Boeing 737 commercial jet was crashed in Iran killing all the passengers. At first the reason was given as engine failure. However, the Ukrainian government has rejected that engine failure led to the crash.
The Iranian government has refused to hand over the black boxes of the crashed Ukrainian aircraft. Meanwhile, Air India has decided to reroute its flights due to the heightened tensions in the region.
