Shiv Sena’s mouthpiece ‘Saamana’ blames Kamal Nath govt for Scindia’s exit

Mumbai: Shiv Sena’s Marathi newspaper ‘Saamana’ has blamed the Kamal Nath government in Madhya Pradesh for the outcome of what happened now in the party. The Saamana edit squarely placed the blame on Congress in general and Kamal Nath in particular instead of the saffron party for the fiasco.

Saamana has poured scorn on Nath for the party’s carelessness that lead to Jyortiraditya Scindia’s exit from the Congress.

“In case, the Congress government falls in MP, then BJP shouldn’t be blamed as the damage happened due to Kamal Nath’s carelessness, arrogance and tendency to underestimate the new generation,” the article noted.

“Digvijay Singh and Kamal Nath are very senior leaders from MP. This is true that they had huge support from MLAs but politics cannot be done in MP by ignoring Scindia. Before the assembly elections (in 2018), Scindia was the face for the position of chief minister but later the superiors turned him aside and Delhi high command ignored him,” the edit piece noted.

Scindia, who was the face of Congress party in MP was sidelined by senior leaders and on Tuesday with a major setback for the party, he tendered his resignation.

On Wednesday, he was inducted to the Bharatiya Janata Party in the presence of party’s national President JP Nadda.
