New Delhi: A national media reported that an Indonesian based NGO linked to Pakistani terror chief Hafiz Saeed funded the Delhi riots. The NGO called A.C.T. tried to send Rs. 25 lakhs to fund the rioters through a Delhi based organization.
A.C.T. is known to be a highly radicalized Islamic NGO and involved in riots in Bangladesh. They are also behind a Rohingya camp in Cox Bazar in Bangladesh, the report said.
The riots that began on 23 February was within a few days by the Delhi police. However, 52 persons were killed in the rioting that took place in the north east part of Delhi.
The Home Minister, Amit Shah, told in Parliament yesterday that there is a conspiracy behind the riots. He also said that investigation has begun to probe into it. A couple with connection of the Islamic State have been arrested in connection to it. Moreover, leaders of the Islamic extremist organization, Popular Front of India, were also arrested.
