Coimbatore: The Coimbatore District Collector said that the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border in Coimbatore will be closed till further orders. The closure will be effective from today evening according to a statement released by the Collector.
The order comes after Tamil Nadu has recorded three cases of COVID-19 infection. The Collector’s order is a bid to prevent the spread of the virus from Kerala which is the second most affected state in India behind Maharashtra.
The total number of COVID-19 infected persons in India now stands at 223 and includes 32 foreigners.
