Mumbai: The Public Health Department on Sunday confirmed the second death in Maharashtra.
A 63-year-old COVID-19 patient succumbed to illness last night. The patient who tested positive for Coronavirus had a chronic history of diabetes, high blood pressure and ischemic heart disease.
The patient was admitted at Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital. This is the fifth death due to COVID-19 in the country.
At the same time, 12 more confirmed cases has been reported in Maharashtra.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health on Sunday stated that the number of coronavirus cases in India has rose to 324.
