New Delhi: The External Affairs Minister, S. Jaishankar, has expressed India’s deep concern about reports of blasts near the cremation site of those killed in yesterday’s Gurudwara attack in Kabul by Islamic State terrorists.

The Minister in a tweet said, “Deeply concerned at the blasts reported near the cremation site of those killed during the attack on Gurudwara Sahib in Kabul.”

Jaishankar also said that the government is trying to bring back the mortal remains of Tian Singh, an Indian citizen, who was killed in the attack. He added that the medical opinion is against moving those who are injured.

The Indian Embassy is in touch with the families of those killed in the bomb blasts and those who were injured. The Embassy also asked the Kabul security forces to ensure adequate security at the Gurudwara.

Yesterday’s Islamic terrorists’ attack had killed 27 and injured eight others. Today, it continued with blasts being reported at the crematorium where those killed in yesterday’s blast was being buried.

The world has condemned the cowardly terror attack by Islamic terrorists at the Gurudwara.

A member of Afghanistan’s Parliament, representing Sikhs and Hindus, Narindra Singh Khalsa said, “I am under pressure from my people, who say we cannot live in this country anymore. Our children and our women are not secure.”
