Kollam: In the battle against coronavirus, Mata Amritanandamayi Math has announced a donation of Rs 13 crores. Rs 10 crore will be donated to the PM-CARES Fund and Rs 3 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
The Math informed that the donation is being given in a bid to support those who are financially, physically, or mentally distressed and in order to contain the spread of coronavirus. The patients will be given free treatment at the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences.
Officials said Amrita University and Amrita Hospital have started a telephone help center to help those suffering from depression, frustration and other challenges under lockdown restrictions.
