Thiruvananthapuram: Leader of Opposition, Ramesh Chennithala, accused Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan of being the main culprit in the Sprinklr scandal. Chennithala said that Sprinklr company has secured the data of more than 1.75 crore Keralites.
The government of Kerala entrusted Sprinklr company to acquire COVID-19 patients data in the state. However, the government stepped back after it emerged as a controversy.
The cost of data collected so far is estimated at Rs 200 crores to Rs 700 crores. He said that the government would have to go to the USA to file a lawsuit against the company. He also said that there are cases against the company in the USA pertaining to data fraud.
Asha workers had collected data through a questionnaire containing 41 questions. It was not discussed in the cabinet meeting before the international agreement was signed, he added.
The opposition leader said that a thorough investigation should be conducted into the matter.
