New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Sunday informed the health related steps taken by the Centre for the containment of COVID-19.
More than ₹ 4,113 crore were released to states by the Centre. Insurance cover of ₹ 50 lakh per person has been announced for healthcare workers.
At the same time, Epidemic Diseases Act was amended for protection of healthcare workers.
The Centre has already supplied 51 lakhs PPEs, 87 lakhs of N95 masks and 11.08 crore of HCQ tablets.
