New Delhi: The Centre has granted permission to conduct SSLC, plus two board examinations and the states can decide upon the dates, said the Centre. The permission was given at the request of state governments and CBSE.
The exemptions to conduct Board Examinations will be subject to certain conditions, said Home Ministry Secretary Ajay Bhalla in his letter to Chief Secretaries of all States.
No examination centre will be permitted in the Containment Zones, wearing of face masks by teachers, staff and students will be mandatory, provision of thermal screening and sanitizer at the centres and social distancing in all the exam centres to be made.
In view of examination to be conducted by different Boards, their examination schedules should be staggered. Special buses may be arranged by the States and UTs for transportation of the students to the examination centres, directs the letter.
