Thiruvananthapuram: Mollywood star Mohanal-owned ViswaSanthi Development Foundation has been one among those extending support to the state in the battle against coronavirus. The foundation handed over defensive/protective equipment to the Kerala DGP.

Foundation Director Major Ravi handed over about six hundred kits to DGP Loknath Behera on Sunday at Thiruvananthapuram. The kit includes faceshield, mask, gloves and raincoat.

The policemen in the state are at the forefront during the lockdown and maintaining the norms issued by the government, who have put their life at risk. ViswaSanthi Foundation, taking this into consideration has come forward with their part of helping hand.

The Foundation also distributed cold drinks to the police officers on duty from Thodupuzha to Palakkad during the lockdown.

ViswaSanthi Foundation had also earlier extended its support to BMC-run hospitals in Mumbai by donating PPE kits. The foundation had donated kits to Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital in Sion, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital in Kalva, Thane and to healthcare workers in Andheri and Dharavi.
