Kochi: In a mysterious wake, Pakistan currencies have been found circulating in Kerala. Terrorists rooted in Kerala are being suspected behind the circulation of Pakistan currencies. Earlier too, such currencies were recovered from various regions, however, the investigation went unaccomplished.

The used Pakistani notes were recovered from Kochi. On one such folded Rs 100 note, it has an imprint of Pakistan President Muhammad Ali Jinnah. It is learned that the Islamic State terrorists and terrorists who are rooted in Kerala are circulating Pakistani notes as part of the anti-national activities.

Also, the illegal Pakistanis residing here, who see Kerala as a safe haven, is also suspected.

Earlier, this March, some Pakistan currencies were recovered from Vadanapally Chettuva Harbour’s Comfort station. Several phone numbers were seen written on the notes.

The currency now found in Kochi comes when the intelligence agencies were investigating the possibility of Pakistani nationals or terrorists taking the sea route to Kerala.

A Vaikom native received Pakistan currency from Edappally.

In 2017, a currency of Rs 20 was recovered in the form of a rocket at a donation box in Sabarimala. Even after the preliminary investigation by various state-run investigators, the crux still persists.

This issue can be seen as indications of terrorists being given to the country, posing a threat to the national security.
