Ladakh: Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel defeated all odds on the occasion of International Day of Yoga today where they performed yogasanas at an altitude of 18,000 feet, in sub-zero temperature in Ladakh.

They performed pranayama and Surya Namaskar in the white sheet of snow.

The world is celebrating the sixth International Yoga Day and in the present scenario it gains significance as the world is reeling under coronavirus pandemic. The practice of Yoga leads to both physical and emotional well-being of the people.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said, “As conscious citizens, we will move forward as a family and society in unison. We will try to make ‘Yoga at home and Yoga with family’ a part of our lives. We will surely succeed, we will surely win”.
