Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala recorded new 141 cases of coronavirus today, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Meanwhile, 60 people recovered.
This is the fifth consecutive day with highest number of cases. Also a coronavirus death was reported from Kollam earlier today. The deceased had arrived from New Delhi.
The Chief Minister said that the situation in the state is getting worsened day by day. He also said that asymptomatic cases are also being reported.
79 came from abroad, 9 infected through contact, and 52 came from other states. 275 people were admitted to the hospital today.
Of the total cases, 27 each from Pathanamthitta and Palakkad, 19 from Alappuzha, 14 from Thrissur, 13 from Ernakulam, 11 from Malappuram, 8 from Kottayam, 6 each from Kozhikode and Kannur, 4 each from Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram and 2 from Wayanad.
