Thiruvananthapuram: The state has recorded 722 new cases of coronavirus, informed Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Thus, Kerala’s total cases now stand at 10,275.
228 people recovered from the disease.
Of the total cases, Thiruvananthapuram recorded the highest with 339, Ernakulam 57, Kollam 42, Malappuram 42, Pathanamthitta 39, Kozhikode 33, Thrissur 32, Idukki 26, Alappuzha 20, Palakkad 25, Kannur 23, Kasaragod 18, Wayanad 13, Kottayam 13.
Of the confirmed cases, 157 arrived from abroad and 67 from other states. 481 people infected through contact.
There were two deaths in the state today. Aneesh, a native of Thrissur Thampuranpadi and Mohammad Salih from Kannur succumbed to the disease.
