Rich enough to pay for liquor case ; bankrupt to afford special public prosecutor in Madhu’s murder case

Palakkad : Madhu’s murder, who was beaten to death by a mob at Atapattadi. The Government cancelled the appointment of special public prosecutor in Madhu’s case, highlighting that extra fees cannot be paid. The State denied the demands of P Gopinath who was the special public prosecutor.

Madhu was killed by the mob on February of last year. As the killing caused a lot of controversies Government involved in the case and appointed a special public prosecutor, however now denied the demands of the special public prosecutor, emphasizing on extra fees cannot be paid and thereby canceling the order.

Public prosecutor had asked to facilitate for the processing of the case. As the hearing of the case is at Mannarkkad Court, prosecutor requested for an office near court and a police official of DYSP rank to make the relevant investigations. The Government replied with an order cancelling its previous stands on the case.

The Government changed the special public prosecutor right when the trial on the case was to began. A representative of the government will attend to the case at Mannarkkad SEST Court. Our Government spend crores to get lawyers from supreme court fight against political enemies, liquor case and even other follow ups at High Court is attended by lords of Supreme Court. Our State Government is sabotaging Madhu’s murder case in the name of huge expense.
