Thiruvananthapuram: Interpol has issued a look-out notice against Faisal Fareed, the accused in the gold smuggling case. The action has been taken by Interpol on the request of India. The details of the gold smuggling case were filed by Interpol on Friday.
He is the third accused in the gold smuggling case filed by NIA.
The NIA had also handed over to the Interpol a non-bailable warrant issued by the NIA court against Faisal and a report on the gold smuggling case. After a thorough investigation, the Interpol filed the case.
Last day, the Customs raided Faisal Fareed’s house in Kaipamangalam and found a laptop and three bank passbooks. It is reported that the Customs has received crucial evidence including digital documents.
