Thiruvananthapuram: Minister E P Jayarajan is set to file a complaint to the party over a picture of his son with gold smuggling accused Swapna Suresh surfaced on the public domain. He alleges that there is a conspiracy behind disclosing his son Jaison’s name into the case.
EP Jayarajan and his family suspect that it was Bineesh Kodiyeri, son of CPM state secretary, released the picture. It is reported that Jayarajan will lodge a complaint with the party when the gold smuggling case is discussed at the state secretariat meeting.
In 2018, Jayarajan’s son hosted a party for Swapna Suresh for helping out an issue with the passport. Jaison came in touch with Swapna Suresh through Bineesh Kodiyeri and it was the latter who asked to host a party for her.
The alleged photograph was clicked during the party that was attended by only seven people including Swapna Suresh, Bineesh Kodiyeri and Jaison. Jaison’s picture emerged after Bineesh was questioned by Enforcement Directorate and therefore the suspicion extends to Bineesh.
