Kochi: According to Customs, former principal secretary to Chief Minister, M Sivasankar, has helped accused Swapna Suresh in dollar smuggling. It is learned that the officials have initiated to record arrest of Sivasankar and produce him before the magistrate in Kochi.
Customs report states that Sivasankar helped Swapna to illegally transport US dollars 1.90 lakh from Kerala to abroad. The officials have recorded statements of many people regarding this. Reportedly, the bank officials were pressurised by the VIPs to hand over the money in dollars to Swapna Suresh.
Enforcement Directorate had also raised similar questions in this regard to the IAS official.
