Bengaluru: Bineesh Kodiyeri, son of CPM state secretary, has been sent to 4-day custody of the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the drug bust case.
Prior to that, Bineesh was interrogated for more than three hours by the agency. Following which he was produced in the City Civil Court.
According to reports, the ED is likely to question Bineesh and Anoop Mohammad, another accused in the case together.
Bineesh made headlines after Anoop Mohammad was nabbed by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Bengaluru. Rs 50 lakh was transferred to Anoop’s bank account from 20 various accounts. ED is probing whether the money was transferred as per Bineesh’s instruction or Bineesh has any benami deals in Bengaluru.
