Washington [US]: After a series of dramatic events and violence, US President-elect Joe Biden will take oath to become the 46th President of the United States on Wednesday. Along with him Vice-President elect Kamala Harris will also be sworn in at the west Front of the US Capitol during the 59th Presidential Inauguration ceremony.
Joe Biden who turned 78 last year, will be oldest President to take oath. The security in the US Capitol has been boosted up following the January 6 Capitol riots.
There will only be around 1,000 guests in the ceremony that will take place today. US President Donald Trump had said that he will not be attending the function.
The inauguration function will take place at 10:30 pm (local time).
