CM Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate a three-day virtual global conclave on February 1, 2021. This virtual global conclave titled ‘Kerala Looks Ahead’ seeks to lay down the roadmap for Kerala’s long-term development. Top economists, industry leaders, administrators and planners will participate in this conclave. It is hosted by the Kerala State Planning Board.
Ratan Tata, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Azim Premji, Anand Mahindra and Amartya Sen are among the speakers to address various sessions.
Nobel laureate-economist Professor Joseph Stiglitz and Soumya Swaminathan, Chief Scientist with World Health Organisation (WHO), will address the inaugural session on February 1.
The speakers will address various sessions including primary sector (agriculture, fisheries and animal resources development), skill development, e-governance, tourism, modern industrial possibilities, higher education, information technology, e-governance, federalism and development financing, and local governments. A special session on Industry would also be held on the final day.
