Mumbai [Maharashtra]: Former Indian Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni becomes the highest paid Cricketer in Indian Premier League (IPL) history. Dhoni started playing for the Chennai Super Kings in IPL since 2008. At present his contract with CSK is worth 15 crore and he has earned Rs 137.80 crore till date. With his decision to continue playing for the team in the upcoming IPL season, the Skipper will cross the mark of 150 crore and will become the first Cricketer to do so.

The former Indian Cricketer had earlier confirmed that he will be leading the Chennai team for at least one more season in the IPL. With the next season all set to start from April, Dhoni will be seen in the crease once again. The team is looking forward to bounce back in the upcoming season after the major setback they had to face in the last season.
