Piyush Goyal inaugurated and dedicated 88 Railway infrastructure projects related to passenger amenities and facilities at various railway stations in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal and Karnataka through video conferencing. These Railway projects were dedicated to the Nation worth more than Rs 1000 crore making Indian Railways future ready.
Inaugurating the rail projects in Kerala, Piyush Goyal said that it’s important to improve connectivity in the state which is a keeper of Indian Heritage and for the railway passengers using the various amenities in the state of Kerala.
In Kerala, foot over bridges, lifts, platform raising works, Airport type illumination of covered platforms, commissioning of 100 Kwp solar plants works have been completed.
Likewise, foot over bridges, high level platforms, toilets, waiting halls, benches, new platforms, lifts have been provided wherever necessary in all the other states too.
