Ahead of West Bengal Assembly polls Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a rally in the state on March 7, 2021.
He will address a public rally in Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata. The public rally is being held a day after the BJP announced the list of 57 candidates for the polls. PM Modi’s rally will be part of ‘Parivartan yatra’ which was launched in West Bengal in February.
More than 1500 CCTV cameras have been installed in the city for security purposes. Drone cameras will also be used to monitor the venue.
Special Protection Group and Kolkata Police have deployed special units for the security of the rally. Bharatiya Janata party has installed LED screens at the ground level for the convenience of the people.
The Election Commission of India announced that West Bengal will see eight-phase election. First phase of polling on March 27, second phase of polling on April 1, third phase of polling on April 6, fourth phase of polling on April 10, fifth phase of polling on April 17, sixth phase polling on April 22, seventh phase is on April 26 and final phase polling will be on April 29.
