Maharashtra: 15-day lockdown maybe imposed from April 12

Health Minister Rajesh Tope has indicated that a 15-day lockout will be imposed across in the state in view of the increasing number of COVID patients day by day .

Talking to media person at Jalna on Sunday evening he said, in this regard, the state Chief Minister Udbhav Thackeray has discussed with all parties leaders .

However, even if a decision is taken, the lockout will not be imposed immediately, he clarified. Tope also appealed to the entrepreneurs to take care of their workers after the lockout, as well as the workers from outside the state should not be scared and should not rush to their hometowns.

Meanwhile, four-days ‘Tika Ustav’ celebration of COVID vaccination began yesterday in the state .

The festival started yesterday on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and will continue till the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on Wednesday. Maharashtra state crossed one crore vaccination yesterday
