Belagavi fully geared for Lok Sabha bypoll

All arrangements have been made for by-polls to Belagavi Lok Sabha constituency, said district election officer and deputy commissioner Dr. K Harishkumar.

Deputy commissioner, in an official statement, said that the byelection will be held on 17th of this month. Total ten candidates are in the fray.

Totally 18,13,567 voters including 25,327 youth voters and 8,047 service voters are in this constituency, he said.
2566 polling booths have been set up including 502 sub polling stations. Sixteen Saki (women polling booths) set up in the district, he said.

The by election will be held on 17th of this month, Smt Mangala Angadi wife of Suresh Angadi contested from BJP and former minister and Yamakanamardi MLA Shatish Jarkiholi contested from Congress party.

Police security is provided to each polling station with an extra force to cluster in critical booths. Police Flag March is done in Five sensitive areas.
