BJP national president, Jagat Prakash Nadda on Thursday virtually inaugurated the state office of the Arunachal Pradesh unit of the party.

The six-storeyed permanent office building of the party, located at Vivek Vihar here, is equipped with library, reading room, conference hall and other facilities.

Nadda congratulated state BJP president BR Wahge, senior BJP leader and Chief Minister Pema Khandu, and workers of the party for the new office building.

“There is a difference between an office and a karyalaya. An office runs from 10 am to 5 pm but a karyalaya runs even after 5pm. This a place where karyakartas (workers) discuss on several issues, ” Nadda said in his address.

He said that karyakarta (worker) , karyakarni (executive) and karyalaya (office) are indispensable and with this permanent office today, party workers would work with more zeal and serve party and frontier state-Arunachal with outmost sincerity.

Nadda further said, “North East (NE) was earlier known for extremism, blockages, arms trafficking, corruption , communal tension tension and drugs. This picture was changed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Under Act East Policy, a lot of developmental work has been done in the region. Today, NE across the world is known for its connectivity, infrastructure, sports and organic farming”.

Congratulating the party workers for the new office building, Khandu said that under Narendra Modi government entire NE states have achieved never before development and his unflinching love and care towards the region.

He also thanked party workers on reaching out to the masses the programmes and policies of Centre and State governments to the remote villages and for demonstrating extra-ordinary courage while rendering exceptional services during Covid-pandemic.

Among others, MP and BJP national party general secretary Dilip Saikia, National general secretary (org) NE states Ajay Jamwal, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna mein, Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju, MP Arunachal Pradesh (East) and former state president Tapir Gao, Rajya Sabha MP Nabam Rebia and Mayor Itanagar Municipal Corporation (IMC) Tame Phassang, attended the inaugural programme.
