Kollam: 80 year old shop owner, K N Devarajan was falsely fined by police, accusing that he opened his shop on a Saturday lockdown. Devarajan came to his paint shop in Kadakkal junction from his home just to take the morning newspaper. As he was slightly opening the shop to take the paper, police came.
SI noted down his name and address and asked him to be present in the police station. Only after reaching the station, Devarajan came to know that a case was registered in his name. And Devarajan informed that he just came to take the news paper which he used to do every day. Devarajan complained that even after explaining everything in detail, inspectors insulted him. After paying fine, Devarajan filed a complaint to Rural SP, Collector and Chief Minister.
