Kalpetta: With the two day mega vaccination drive, Wayanad became fully vaccinated district. People above 18 who are eligible have given first dose vaccination in accordance with ICMR guidelines. 6, 15, 729 people have received vaccination in Wayanad. 2, 13, 277 have given second dose vaccination.
Pulppally, Noolpuzha and Vythiri Panchayaths have the largest tribal (Adivasi) population. They also received first dose vaccination. Each local body governments have made a vaccination plan and it was according to this vaccination was given to people. Apart from people who got affected with covid within three months, those who cannot receive vaccination, those who were in contact lists, people in containment zones and clusters, everyone else received vaccination.
In each vaccination centre one Doctor, 3 nurses and one data entry operator were there. Mobile teams in tribal areas were part of the special team. Totally there were 13 mobile teams. Earlier, along with Kasaragod, Wayand had bagged the achievement of district where people above 45 were fully vaccinated.
