Thrikkakkara: Uma Thomas, the UDF candidate who has won Thrikkakkara bypoll by 25000 votes, said she is dedicating her victory to her husband and late MLA P T Thomas.
‘ My Thrikkakkara has accepted me. I am thanking each and everyone for that. I will always be with them. In fact this election was not fight between Uma Thomas and Jo Joseph, but a fight from Pinarayi Vijayan and his team against UDF. Thrikkakkara has chosen what it wanted. UDF’s victory is the reply to the Government, said Uma.
UDF retained Thrikkakkara assembly seat by a margin of 25112 votes . UDF’s Uma Thomas received 72,770 votes while LDF’s Jo Joseph polled 47,754 votes and NDA generated 12,957 votes.
