Mumbai: More MLAs are moving to the rebel party led by Eknath Shinde. 5 Shiv Sena MLAs and 2 independents left Delhi to join the opposition. With this, Uddhav Thackeray, who announced his willingness to resign yesterday, comes under extreme pressure and there are rumours that he will resign today.
Deepak Keshakar (Sawantwadi MLA), Mangesh Kudalkkar (Chemboor MLA), Sada Sarvanker (Dadar MLA), Yogesh kadam, Gopal Dalvi have left Delhi to join the Shinde group. Along with them, independent MLAs Chandrakanth Patil and Manjula Gavit are reported to have declared their support for Shinde.
The withdrawal of the MLAs took place when Shiv Sena Uddhav faction claimed that one MLA who went with Shinde had returned.
The Shinde faction claims that two-thirds of the party’s MLAs are currently with them. They also wrote a letter to the Deputy Speaker for electing Bharat Gogawale as Chief Whip.
