Thiruvananthapuram, July 5 (UNI) Kerala Raj Bhavan on Tuesday sought more details about Kerala State Fisheries and Culture Minister Saji Cheriyan’s remarks against the Indian Constitution.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan also sought an explanation from the Minister on the issue.
On Monday, the Minister, while addressing a weekly political observation programme at Mallappally in Pathanamthitta, said Indian Constitution allows looting of people and exploration of labourers.
Insulting the Constitution, he claimed Indians wrote the Constitution that was dictated by the British.
“As part of implementing it for the last 75 years, if anyone speaks, I will not agree with them. I will say that this beautiful Constitution allows looting of the people and labourers,” the Minister said.
“Though words like secularism and democracy are written in the Constitution, the ultimately intends exploitation of common people,” he said.
“India is a country that does not even accept workers’ strike. That is because of the Constitution.”
“The governance structure that condones labor exploitation. That is the reason why Ambani and Adani have grown and they were given protection by the Indian Constitution. How many labours can protest against them ?” he asked.
“The court and the parliament are all with the capitalists. The fact that people like Modi takes decisions in favor of the capitalists is a proof that the Indian Constitution is with them.”
“Labours cannot ask for fair wages. Even if they go to court, the decision will be in favor of the capitalists. Labours are being blamed for all problems in the country. If they approach the court, it will ask why they conduct strike.”
