New Delhi: Union Minister V Muraleedharan responded to the insulting remarks of Elamaram Kareem MP, on P T Usha’s nomination to Rajya Sabha.
V Muraleedharan, through social media, expressed that Kareem’s derogatory statement as P T Usha’s nomination to Rajya Sabha is a bounty for her gestures as directed by the Sangh Parivar, in fact tarnishes the pride of India.
V Muraleedharan goes on to say, P T Usha has won numerous medals for the country in several international events. And she is a mentor for upcoming athletes . Usha is honoured for what she has done with commitment and dedication in the realm of sports. It is sure that P T Usha can promote much more to the world of sports as a member of Rajya Sabha.
V Muraleedharan, in his face book post says, when all Keralites unanimously say about Usha’s presence in the Rajya Sabha in a positive note, Elamaram Kareem’s remark is reprehensible. Elamaram Kareem may be ignorant of what all the “Payyoli Express” has done to Indian sports. But our country will never have any doubts or questions on Usha’s eligibility. MP must withdraw his substandard remark and apologise.
