Jammu: An encounter occurred last night between the military forces and terrorists at Reban region in Shopian district. Jammu Kashmir police clarified that the operation is still going on and further details will be updated in the coming hours.
Kaiser Koka, a member of the banned terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed, was earlier arrested by the police. He was held from Awantipora following suspicious information received by the police about the terrorist attack.
2 terrorists were killed in the incident.
Koka is an accused in other police cases and terrorist attacks. He has been there in several terrorist operations since 2018.
Weapons recovered from the place were sent to detailed tests.
As dangerous weapons left over the area, police advised the people to be cautious and to be cooperative with the police.
