Lucknow: UP Government to implement lower age limit for Madrassa admissions. The state minority welfare department minister Danish Azad Ansari has informed that a committee will be set up for dealing with the same. He also said that prior to this opinion will be taken from the side of the parents too.
Meanwhile, Opposition came up with allegations that the Yogi government’s decision is against the minority group of people.
Samajwadi Party said that the decision was part of the Yogi government’s agenda to deny religious education to minority students.
Last May, UP government had made it clear that they won’t give grants to new madrasas.
Danish Anzari said that currently the government is giving grants to 560 madrasas which is a huge amount.
The UP government had already issued an order that made the National Anthem to be sung strictly inside the madrasas.
