India enthrones in silver at Commonwealth Games, Priyanka Goswami wins in women’s 10000 m race walk

Birmingham: India secured third medal in athletics at Commonwealth Games 2022. Priyanka Goswami won silver medal in 10,000 meter walk. She completed the walk in 43 minutes and 38 seconds. It was the best performance in career, reacted Priyanka.

Australia’s Jemima Montag achieved gold in the event. Jemima reached finishing point in 43 minutes and 34 seconds. Priyanka became second by the difference of 4 seconds. With this Priyanka became the first woman who achieved medal in walking event in Commonwealth Games. She was ranked 17th in the same event in Tokyo Olympics.

Thejaswin Shankar and Sree Shankar achieved medals in the Commonwealth Games 2022 earlier. Thejaswin achieved bronze medal and malayali star Sree Shanker achieved silver in long jump. India achieved a total of 27 medals in Commonwealth Games.
